- Brief is broken down into stages of production to determine a plan of procedure
- Plan of action is determined to meet time requirements of each stage so deadlines are identified and adhered to
- Correct design and typographic terms are used to facilitate communication
- Assemble layout materials
- Construct a simple graphic design
- Produce finished artwork
- Layout grid is ruled up according to the brief
- Type selection, style and size are selected for theme and readability and fitted into allocated grid space to conform to the brief
- Originalsand elements are selected, scaled and cropped appropriately to fit the allocated grid space
- Layout components are accurately positioned using keylines to conform to the grid framework
- Overlays/colour roughs are created to conform to the brief
- Check for suitability
- Tidy materials and store data
